- Log in to Shockey Monkey portal by entering your email address and password.
- Hover your cursor over the blue Clients tab on the top row navigation panel, and click on Companies.
- Click on the light blue New Company button in the navigation row. Since this is a Lead account, you should enter as much information as you know.
- Click in the field to enter Corporate name and Trade Name.
- Click in the fields to enter all Billing Contact Information. The information entered here will not create a new Contact for the company’s billing contact. After the Company record is created, you must create individual Contact records for each person associated with the Lead Company including the Billing Contact entered here.
- Click in the CC fields to enter all Financial information for this Lead Company.
- Click in the drop down box next to State to select either Active for this Lead Company.
- Click in the drop down box next to Rating to select an overall rating for this lead.
- Click Create Company to save the record.
- Click on the blue Contacts tab on the top row navigation panel.
- Click on the light blue New Contact button in the navigation row.
- Click in the fields in Personal Information and enter Name, Phone, and Email.
- Click in the Company field and type in the name of the contact’s company. The company that the contact is associated with must already be created in Shockey Monkey. Allow the predictive system to find the Company Record.
- Click on the blue “Use Company Data” button to import the main company record contact information. Otherwise, enter data into the Contact Information fields manually.
- Click in the drop down box next to Role and select Lead. This role offers no portal access, but creates a contact record for CRM tracking purposes.
- Ignore the rest of the settings on the Contact Creation screen, and scroll to the bottom.
- Click Create Contact.
